Dr. Burris earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2017 and began a career as an Army Aeromedical Psychologist, supporting aviators and Soldiers in high-performance, high-stress settings. After active duty, she specialized in Health Psychology at the VA, integrating behavioral and medical care to improve wellbeing and resilience. She now serves as a Personnel Psychologist for the Navy, focusing on leadership assessment and talent development. She continues to serve as an Aeromedical Psychologist for the Army National Guard and is pursuing her MBA at the University of Notre Dame to expand how psychology informs leadership.
