Life is hard. As children, we often have little to no control over our lives. Things happen that make us feel confused, angry, or scared, and we may or may not get the help we need or even an explanation. Our childhood experiences shape who we are, and many children experience trauma or have some unmet need that follows us into adulthood and makes life even harder than it already is.
