My patients come to therapy to confront personal suffering and explore big questions about love, work, and what makes a satisfying and useful life. We will work towards the development of self-awareness, improvement over one’s sense of agency, the capacity for realistically based self-esteem, strength in one’s ability to recognize and tolerate feelings, the enhancement of self-cohesion, an expansion of one’s capacity to depend appropriately on others, and the general enhancement of a person’s vitality and creativity in work and relationships.
