Seeking help isn't easy, and it takes a certain amount of courage. Just like being human. One of the things I've learned in 27+ years as a practicing psychologist is that we all have reserves of courage within us-even when we're feeling our worst. Having a compassionate and accepting person to talk to can help us find that courage and acceptance within ourselves.
