My ideal client struggles with an eating disorder along with co-occurring anxiety and depression. They need an empathetic listener who also challenges their cognitive distortions and is willing to do exposures with them. Their goals would be to live a life they desire, not what others want. My ideal client wants to receive help despite possible trust issues and uncertainty about the mental health system. I can help by providing psychoeducation in eating disorders, empathy, and challenging thought distortions.
