Thank you for taking the time to visit my professional profile. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work, am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the State of Iowa, and am a compassionate advocate for mental health and wellness. Our mental health affects our physical health and I strongly believe we deserve to receive care for both. I have had the privilege of working with individuals, families, and groups in the mental and substance abuse fields for over twenty years in a variety of settings ranging from outpatient therapy to inpatient hospitalization. The treatment modalities I utilize include EMDR (Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing) therapy, client centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, and gestalt. I provide skill building in the areas of emotional self-control, communication, co-dependency, and self-confidence in order to empower my clients to reach their life goals.
