Perhaps you’re here looking for a therapist here because someone told you, whether warmly or angrily: “You should get some help!” What you probably heard - and what they may have meant - was: you need to change. Unlike many, I don’t believe people need to change. The way I see it and how I work is to show my clients how to expand themselves - by adding in more useful and productive ways to think and act than they’ve done before. This results in my clients actually feeling better and functioning better. I work in a respectful and growth-filled manner, sometimes suggesting to my clients questions to elicit their self-knowledge.
