I am a clinical psychologist/yoga instructor with over 25 years of training, research and clinical work. The foundation of my practice is Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and my therapeutic approach has evolved considerably since I first began. While traditional talk therapy itself is extremely beneficial, current research suggests that a holistic approach to treatment can often enhance or accelerate the healing process. Typically, my clients begin with traditional talk therapy, and based upon their individual needs, goals, preferences and lifestyle, I will offer a variety of modalities/tools/practices - but the choice is always theirs. View 4 Photos Guided by studies that emphasize the importance of the body-mind connection, and what we now know about how the body stores unprocessed psychological distress, emotions, and self beliefs, in addition to traditional talk therapy I offer EMDR, somatic (body focused) psychotherapy, and mindfulness practices that include Yoga, Meditation and Yoga Nidra.
