About
People seek therapy for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes people come in because they are having problems with relationships or problems at work. Generally, they want to feel more at ease, content and confident. I also work with new parents who may be struggling with symptoms of post postpartum anxiety or depression. I like to collaborate with my clients to find new ways to navigate the challenges they face. We start by looking for perspectives that can diminish feelings like anxiety, frustration and sadness. We will work to understand why you make the choices you make and we will work toward making healthy changes that work for you. I use a model called Internal Family Systems, peppered with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other approaches. My intention is for clients to find acceptance and compassion toward themselves while alleviating self judgement. With our focus toward compassion and acceptance, clients gain clarity and shifts in behavior and mood can happen.
