Dr. Jantrell R. Johnson, LPC-S, NCC, LAC, CCS, holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern University and A&M College and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans, LA. Jantrell has been counseling professionally for 10 years and provides clinical supervision to Master level interns, PLPCs and Counselors in Training (CITs). Jantrell believes that the counselor-client relationship is essential to effective counseling and views herself as a change agent in both the mental health and addiction counseling fields. Jantrell approaches counseling from a holistic perspective in that different theories may be used. Some of those theories are Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Transgenerational Theory, Transactional Analysis, Psychoanalytic, and Adlerian.
