Teen life is strife with significant personal, social, and emotional development. It involves finding their footing on the path to self-discovery, navigating the complexities of relationships, and coping with the mood swings that come with hormonal changes, among myriad other challenges as they transition from the different formative stages and into young adulthood. Teen life can be just as hard on parents. Struggling to maintain connection and communication with adolescents who are moving toward independence, recognizing what feeds or starves the beast, or simply maintaining harmony among everyday life demands. Having worked with youth, adolescents, and adults, I strive to understand the individual and consider their whole-person context, including their experiences, fears, dreams, and all the elements that make us who we are.
