My name is Jean V. Souffrant, a practicing Mental Health Counselor as well as a licensed Psychoanalyst. I am licensed both as a Mental Health Counselor as well as an Analyst. I am a graduate of a Psychoanalytic Institute, Alfred Adler Institue in New York, where I also lectured for a number of years until a few years ago. I am an extremely friendly, experienced and highly supportive of my patients and nonjudgemental. The ability to build a relationship and to help my patients to overcome their issues through the encouragement and stimulation which he/ she receives during the course of the process is my main purpose. True acceptance of the patient, friendliness, patience ,receptivity as well as emotional support are the tools a seasoned therapist can utilize to help our friends and patients overcome the multitude of issues confronting our society.
