In my career as a counselor, I have found that I have worked best with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, and understanding their own emotions and experiences. These clients often have had difficult childhoods and have strained relationships with people from their past, which continues to impact them in the present. Clients such as these want to better understand their past, so that they can learn, grow, and move on from it, becoming improved and more well-rounded versions of themselves. Once they have fully processed these emotions, they can start to live a meaningful life that is worth living.
