Many of my clients are coping with symptoms of anxiety, depression and chronic pain which interfere with their quality of life. Still others are facing life changes such as "empty nest", retirement, grandparenthood, estrangement from family or loss of a partner. Mature adults often have needs related to feeling a sense of belonging, purposefulness and overall well-being. I take a "Big Picture" approach to help empower clients to sort out what is meaningful for them. I am honored to work with adult clients on issues such as depression and grief, anxiety and adjusting to stressful or unexpected life events. The approach is person-centered, which naturally fosters an environment of unconditional positive regard. A client should expect to be met with compassion, warmth and when appropriate, humor in the therapeutic space.
