When I became a mom, a deeper understanding of empathy settled into me. I did not consider how having a child might translate to my work with clients, but a door into the feeling realm opened. I believe that at our roots, humans simply need to be heard, seen, and felt by each other. We are intrinsically social creatures, and connection is a basic need. My work begins with listening to you when others have ignored, and accepting you when others have judged. But no one needs a therapist who just listens. From this basis of trust, I will challenge your thinking patterns and push you to create change in your life.
