Many of the people I work with are navigating addiction, co-occurring mental health challenges, trauma, and the lasting effects of growing up in a dysfunctional family system. Others come in feeling stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, overwhelmed by internal pressure, or frustrated that insight alone hasn’t led to lasting change. My clients typically need help understanding what’s happening inside of them. They certain patterns keep repeating, why emotions feel so intense or shut down, and why old coping strategies no longer work. My specialty is applying IFS to addiction and relapse patterns. IFS helps clients understand what drives relapse from the inside out, often bringing a level of clarity and precision in a way I have not seen with any other approach during my time in the mental health and addiction field.
