When you start to notice that you aren't feeling well or your mental health isn't where you would like for it to be, figuring out which direction to go in or what will help can be overwhelming. While it can be hard to share your story with someone new and to dig further into the things that you may be avoiding, working with a therapist that considers these feelings and works with you at a comfortable pace can make a big difference. My approach is to focus on the quality of the relationship I have with my clients in a positive and conversational way while also taking the time to understand their experiences and perspective. I specialize in treating older adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, low self-esteem, communication issues, social skills, and symptoms related to trauma. My interventions help clients with reframing negative thinking patterns, acknowledging and accepting thoughts , and recognizing patterns that may stem from traumatic experiences.
