About
I am trained in EMDR, a psychotherapy designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess stored memories, reducing their emotion intensity. My passion for this work is grounded in many years of experience in social work and counseling, supporting individuals with substance use concerns, eating disorders, and women’s trauma. I bring special expertise in helping women navigate the complex changes and challenges that come with different stages of life, while also working with people of all genders. The core of my approach is the belief that healing begins with safety. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and supported. Bessel van der Kolk reminds us, “Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying life.
