My name is Jessica Macias, I am Latina, born and raised in Chicago, and bilingual in Spanish. I have over 13 years of experience in the field of psychology. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a partner at Rare Mind Counseling, Consulting, and Mediation Services, PLLC. At Rare Mind, our mission is to provide comprehensive, professional, and culturally sensitive therapeutic services. In my clinical approach, I emphasize the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship by introducing myself as a human first and a therapist second. I create a safe and comfortable environment for clients to express their concerns, thoughts, and emotions, and use humor to help my clients feel more at ease.
