About
A deeply satisfying relationship can feel allusive at times. Work, small children, financial decisions, and unmet emotional needs can take a toll. Despite being frustrated, you know your marriage is a crucial part of your happiness. Still, somehow it always feels like the thing you put off really working on. It's hard to prioritize caring for your relationship the way you do other parts of your life. Maybe because with all that is going on, it can be hard to imagine that a happier marriage is even possible. I encourage you to stop putting off having a better marriage. For many people a happier marriage is possible. As a couples therapist, I’m often deeply moved by the intensity of love and caring that can be unearthed in therapy after years of conflictual, or avoidant relating. I have helped many couples relate with more vulnerability, compassion and teamwork.
