I've been working with children since 1991, mostly at the elementary and preschool age level. In the 90's I developed a passion for play therapy and began my own training and experience. Twenty years later I have my ideal space at Midwest Health where I provide play therapy every day, addressing everything from anxiety to trauma to attachment, teaching new skills including assertiveness, self-advocacy, and emotional independence, and consulting with families. With over twenty years of experience doing assessments in the schools, I continue to do assessments for learning styles, behavior and mood dysregulation, autism, and ADHD. While I specialize in play therapy, I have lots of experience in assessment of childhood emotional, behavioral or academic problems, and I know how to work closely with schools to provide seamless generalization of skills to the classroom and community. I also assess giftedness and provide consultation to parents.
