Hi, I’m Joanie—and I’m really glad you’re here. I specialize in working with helping professionals and first responders— healthcare providers, educators, caregivers, police and fire fighters. Many of my clients are competent, highly trained, responsible, and deeply caring people who are used to being “the strong one,” often at the expense of their own needs. Over time, the emotional labor of helping can lead to chronic stress, anxiety, low-grade depression, burnout, or feeling distant from the people you love. This isn’t a personal shortcoming—it’s a predictable cost of caring without consistent support.
