Hi, I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with 36 years experience in individual, couples, and group therapy. I work with 20+ yr old adults to understand why they do the things they do and how to move toward narratives and responses that are more in alignment with our values and dreams. I live with depression, ADHD, and anxiety. I’m probably somewhere on the ASD spectrum, I’m a recovering alcoholic and a recovering anorexic. Our first session will focus on what brings you to therapy, your history with those issues and how we can work toward your goals. I’ll answer any questions you have about me and how I work. And we’ll explore the strengths you have that we can draw on to enact your healing. I’m opposed to seeing the therapeutic relationship as hierarchical; I believe in using self disclosure to provide empathetic teaching examples. I call it ‘recovering out loud’.
