My mantra with my clients is "If it's mentionable, it's manageable" because only when we can acknowledge our pain and discomfort can we move to a space of healing. My role in the helping relationship is to create a safe therapeutic space to help my clients cope with life stressors while acknowledging and processing how past experiences, current thoughts, and behaviors impact their ability to thrive. I use a socio-ecological approach to care to foster healing and connectedness. I believe in your ability to be the change agent in your own life.
