About
What inspired me to become a therapist were the people around me. I was fortunate enough to have positive relationships that helped me overcome hardships and difficulties in life. Because of that, I understand the importance of have someone in your life that can be understanding, supportive, and at times challenging to overcome barriers. Everyone is on a different part of their journey and my goal is to meet clients where they are at. I understand that sometimes our journeys are non-linear. We experience setbacks, progress is made, we get thrown additional challenges, or sometimes we get stuck. I use active listening and check-ins with my clients to be aware of where they are and cater my interventions to fit what is needed. I believe developing a strong therapeutic alliance is an importance factor in therapy.
