I am a clinical psychologist with twenty-five years of experience in the practice, supervision and teaching of psychotherapy in New York. I would say my approach is warm, supportive and flexible--responsive to the challenge a client faces. I have served on the medical faculty of two universities, including seventeen years at Columbia, and try to balance the benefits of evidenced-based treatment with the sensitivity of psychoanalytic and family approaches; I am certified in these last two areas. My goal is to help clients overcome obstacles to working and loving with greater pleasure and clarity.
