Hello, I'm Jose L. Diaz, a Licensed Professional Counselor in D.C. with 18 years of experience. I have had the privilege to to meet a variety of people in some of the most challenging times of their lives. Being invited into my clients’ lives and bearing witness to their challenges, pain, and suffering has deepened my understanding of people beyond clinical training alone. I have always understood the human component that we all possess and resilience is what we use to harness the recovery and healing towards your well-being. I respect and appreciate being allowed into your life’s journey. I naturally and comfortably draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Behavior Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Trauma-informed care to support clients through their journey.
