About
In a sense, all therapy -- even individual therapy -- is family therapy. We carry the voices, the gazes, the expectations, the approvals and disapprovals, the deep connections to those we first knew within us throughout our lives. Therapy can help to uncover and clarify these links and engender a better understanding of our own motivations, leaving us freer to make effective decisions in our daily lives. I view therapy as a collaborative process between therapist and patient, and I believe much of the work is accomplished through that relationship itself.
