I have over 20 years of experience providing mental health services to families as well as adolescents and adults in individual therapy. It takes real courage when someone asks for help or looks for support and it’s a privilege to be able to offer my services and not a request that is ever taken lightly. When working with teens in particular, one thing I know to be true is that young people are more similar than dissimilar no matter where they come from. They all deserve to be respected and feel valued through a collaborative process where they are the leaders of their sessions.
