My work is grounded in psychoanalytic and relational psychotherapy, with particular care for people whose lives have been shaped by marginalization, trauma, displacement, or experiences of not fully belonging. I often work with women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, relinquished and adopted people, and others whose emotional lives have been deeply influenced by social, cultural, and relational contexts. I see emotional suffering as meaningful, not pathological. In therapy, we'll explore how your experiences, past and present, shape how you feel and relate. While part of therapy includes helping ease immediate symptoms, I'm especially interested in deeper, lasting change. I specialize in insight-oriented psychotherapy. Rather than pushing for quick solutions, we take time to understand recurring patterns and emotional themes, including those that emerge in the therapeutic relationship itself.
