What inspires me to work in the field of mental health care is knowing that as a therapist I have the opportunity to be part of some healing journey. While working in the field of mental health for over 25 yrs, I have witness first hand the benefits of therapy in helping clients heal and achieve their greatest potential. I ensure that clients feel heard and understood through expressing genuine interest, empathy and by active listening. I build trust and a strong therapeutic alliance with clients by asking key questions that help me better understand the client. I highly encourage clients' input and feedback.
