I have a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling and 10 years of clinical experience (as of 2022). I have experience in both private practice and in residential settings for both mental heath and substance abuse related issues. I have experience with many different types of clients including those with "non-traditional" families and relationships. I am a married father of 5 children. In my spare time I like to watch horror movies and listen to heavy music. I pride myself on being well rounded and accepting. Open communication and honesty are all that is needed to begin therapy. I believe in taking a motivational interviewing approach. I can be very person centered, and when necessary i take a solition focused approach. I will pull from my experience with CBT, DBT, and Reality therapy as needed. My strengths include being a great listener and having an appropriate sense of humor.
