My primary counseling modality is DBT. I have been DBT-informed for 4 of the 7 years I have been in clinical practice. Previously, I ran a DBT skills group in person in efforts to decrease relapse rates in a substance use population pool, as well as using individual protocols for various diagnoses. I find that providing clients with structured coping mechanisms and ways to handle their obstacles is the most effective way to meet their goals.
