A main focus is helping my clients recognize old stories they have held on to for survival which add to suffering and helping them visualize a new story which better aligns with the life they want to live. As a body neutral and sex positive therapist, I understand our relationship with our bodies is inextricably linked to mental health challenges. Additionally, I see systemic oppression and the conditions we live under as barriers which can overshadow our power to heal. As a clinician, I resist pathologizing normative responses to injustice and believe finding self-love is possible in the wake of trauma, especially in community.
