I have over 25 years experience as a psychodynamic psychotherapist, and 10 years as a certified Emotionally Focused Therapist for couples. I also worked with children and families at the former Pederson Krag Center from 2000-2003, and with college students at Stony Brook University's counseling center from 2003-2008. I work with individuals and couples with a range of presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, parenting and relationship issues. My style is to actively engage in a non-judgmental way, always sensitive to creating an environment of trust in our sessions. Therapy helps you look at yourself through a different lens so that you can understand the distress that presents in your life, and use insight to change.
