About
A healthy lifestyle includes cognitive ( brain ) health. My experience includes; crisis, hospital and private practice. I use the Cognitive Behavioral approach. How we learned to think about addressing our problems / disappointments ( not getting what you want) /struggles / pain that come in and out of lives play a critical role how we manage our cognitive wellness. You want to manage emotional /physical disappointments by not using your " not working" emotional band-aids such as; controlling, manipulating, going in your rabbit hole, co dependence or one of many learned behaviors you think solves/ avoids the problem(s). Life is messy. Happiness is a serious problem. Understanding how you are thinking is a life long cognitive exercise. How did you " wire your brain?" Do you primarily problem solve or use a coping mechanism such as fight, flight or freeze? Learn appropriate " survive thinking" by re wiring your brain not emotional reacting.
