I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming Licensed Psychoanalyst in full-time private practice in Tribeca. I welcome adults (18+) and couples with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, life changes, and self-esteem. At first, I focus on helping you learn to better regulate your emotions so that you can feel less overwhelmed. Over time, we can begin to understand the deeper issues— why you are compelled to feel and act in ways that don't serve you. We work together to create new patterns so that you can lead a happier and healthier life. My specialties include recent or past trauma and attachment difficulties. My training is in relational psychoanalysis, which focuses on recognizing and shifting unconscious and attachment dynamics, which underlie all relationships, including the ones we have with ourselves. I offer a nonjudgmental ear, empathetic listening, and honest engagement, and incorporate different approaches, such as embodiment and mindfulness.
