As emotional beings, we all have the same desires and fears for our relationships. We want to feel valued and accepted and avoid rejection and shame. These basic human needs can cause us to stay too long in unhealthy relationships (personal and professional), and oftentimes, turn us against ourselves in the form of self destructive behaviors and damaged self worth. As a counselor, my goal is to help empower individuals to examine their thoughts and behaviors so they can understand what is theirs and let go of what is not.
