I specialize in problems of trauma, attachment, and meaning- unlike other therapists I have a focus on what people sometimes dismiss as "first world problems." Many of my clients come from privileged backgrounds and are struggling with the losses, fears, anxieties and shames associated with privilege, with the precarious quality of their own experience, with the loss of innocence they feel as they grow up in highly privileged families or communities. My clients are very successful people who have spent years hiding this inner turmoil and pain, but who are now ready to address it and redress it in therapy.
