About

I work with mid-to-later life adults (40+) with a focus on how personal identity evolves as we age. I am EMDR trained and use this in conjunction with behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, identity theory, and personal narrative modalities to address change and transition across the lifespan. This can include how we approach work, health-related change, environmental or cultural shifts, personal loss, trauma/the re-emergence of trauma—experiences that can impact the ways in which we perceive ourselves. When the balance of our lives is challenged, the resulting stress can be difficult to manage. Cultivating a more fluid understanding of who we are from multiple perspectives, including physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual, can help foster resilience and a more integrated sense of self. Establishing a clearer, deeper sense of self sets the groundwork for how we maintain or adjust when life transitions come our way.
