About
My name is Katie Chenault, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an additional emphasis on Professional Clinical Counseling. I have been in the mental health field for a litte over 2 and a half years. I have experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and families. I utilize an integrative approach to individual counseling that best fits the client I am working with by using CBT, attachment theory, family systems, some DBT, person-centered, some Solution Focused Therapy, play therapy, mindfulness and art therapy. I have found that meeting the client where they are at has been a beneficial tool in building rapport as well as making the therapeutic space as comfortable and approachable especially when getting started. I approach my clients with openness, authenticity, and humor. I have had experience working with a diverse network of clients in the school based setting
