About
My grandfather was a therapist, and watching him help others showed me the generational impact of good therapy. That legacy led me from NYC through substance use work to trauma-focused therapy. The shift happened when I realized we were treating symptoms instead of causes. Trauma is often the stem of substance use and addressing it first could be preventative rather than reactive. I understand anxiety from the inside. People minimize it because it's common, but I know how debilitating it actually is. Common doesn't mean easy. Widespread doesn't mean your struggle isn't valid.
