Parenting stress is at an all time high, and my goal is to support parents in managing their stress and reaching their goals for themselves and their children. I am passionate about supporting parents/caregivers and their children in enhancing their relationship, leading to improvements in behavior and mood in the home. I chose the name "Nurturing Roots" because I strongly believe that the family roots and attachment inform behavior and emotions. My approach is very much attachment and relational based. By nurturing these roots we can build strength and resilience in children and adults alike. I am trained in attachment based treatments for children and their parents. I am well versed in CBT, Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Theraplay, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Nurture & Play and other trauma and play-based interventions. My focus has been in parenting support, perinatal mental health, and infant and early childhood mental health.
