Hi there! I have 12 years of experience working in the fields of complex trauma and addiction, including treatment centers. My interest in this work comes from lived experience, and when sitting with clients I try to be mindful of the power dynamics inherent to psychotherapy by maintaining a sense of equality and cultural humility. I believe that symptoms have meaning, that the psyche leads the way in the therapeutic process, and that we all have innate self-healing capacities. I think we are often beset by inner conflict between different parts of the self, and learning internal communication and compassion is integral to healing.
