It takes so much courage to ask for help. In my twenty nine years as a therapist I have been humbled time and again as clients make that call and come in for sessions. People come in to talk about some of the most difficult things, from childhood abuse to a struggling marriage. It has been a privilege to be of service to so many people. I often get asked how I can listen to peoples stories of hurt and pain and I answer that it is difficult but so hopeful. That is because people don’t have to stay in that place of emotional, psychological, spiritual, or relational pain.
