I would like to describe myself as a guy who likes to collaborate with clients to reach their goals and help guide them to overcome barriers that are stopping them to achieve them. I currently work at a Crisis Center for the state of Georgia trying to help people repair their lives. Through out my career as a social worker, I've dealt with at risk youths, inmates, and substance abuse, and homeless population. I've come to realize that a lot of people have one thing in common, they all would like to be treated with respect and allow them to have their autonomy. What clients can expect to happen in our first session is an introduction into services and my experiences as a social worker. I will go over scheduling and what they can expect in treatment so far as discharge, duration of services, therapeutic style, goals in therapy, and a summary and overview of what was covered in each session.
