My name is Ken Mekaru, and I hail from Okinawa, Japan. I am fluent in both English and Japanese. In 2018, I graduated from Columbia University in New York City. Since then, I have gained extensive experience working in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), non-profits, and substance treatment centers. My professional journey has involved supporting individuals facing a wide range of challenges, such as HIV and cancer, as well as members of the LGBTQAI+ community.
