Keri Schumacher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in private practice providing child and adolescent services since 2012. She has received training in evidenced-based practices in the child traumatic stress field, particularly in Psychological First Aid (PFA), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Ms. Schumacher primarily treats children, adolescents and young adults. Prior to private practice, Keri was the Project Coordinator of the Institute for Adolescent Trauma Training & Treatment at Adelphi's School of Social Work. The Institute, SAMHSA-funded within the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), is focused on improving the provision of trauma-informed treatment to children and adolescents.
