Searching for a therapist can be overwhelming: scrolling through endless photos, personal statements, and credentials hoping to find someone with the perfect combination of traits to help you or your child. I don’t know if that perfect match exists, but I do believe the most important factor in therapy is the trusting relationship formed between the therapist and the client. I pride myself on my ability to connect with clients who haven’t clicked with therapists in the past, and for easing first-time clients into the process. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space, an open mind, a sense of humor, and a deep well of patience. I take a holistic view of each client and recognize the interplay between mental health and physical health, including sleep, diet, and exercise. In collaborating with each client, I tailor my approach to fit their strengths, preferences, and goals. I call on a variety of therapeutic approaches and I’m constantly learning and expanding my toolkit.
