I have spent much of my career in child protection where I have worked with children, adolescents and adults, encountering a broad variety of client life stressors including trauma, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Since then I have focused on individual, couples, and family therapy and have lately worked with patients who live with psychosis. I favor a cognitive-behavioral approach and always looks for new ways to be of value to my clients. I appreciate the diversity of my clients and the variety of problems they bring to my office. I listen to my clients' stories; I am sympathetic and nonjudgmental. Whether short-term or long-term, I look for patterns in my clients' perceptions and I help them lay aside feelings of guilt, to set boundaries and improve interpersonal communication.
